I would just like to express how proud I am of Freo.
I would also like to express how deeply disappointed I am by the Eagles fans....you who said "we would never 'boo'" lowered yourself to the same ugly display from earlier in the year. Shame on you, shame...

Booing a medal winner is never acceptable.
But Josh Carr is a thug nevertheless. Proud of him? Pffft

Kerr has got skill...but he also has a $2000 fine for assault...given today...
And Josh Carr was the most skilled player on the field on Sunday....as least according to all the experts

Josh Carr got booed everytime he got the ball during the game because of the "physical pressure" he put on several eagles players during stoppages (i.e. not during the normal flow of the game).
Seems fair to me that they booed him still at the end. This is different in my opinion to the dockers supporters booing Judd, simply because he isn't a dockers player.
That's my opinion anyway.
The only thing that really matters is where you finish the season. Last year the dockers beat the eagles twice. Still didn't do them any good :)

Although it still would have been better if they hadn't booed Carr, even though he is a dirty player. Then they could keep pointing the finger at the Dorkers ferals...
It was a good game, but the umps need to get better control of the players rather than just... "please guys...please". They need to be like the league umps where the players know who's boss.
I reckon michael johnson shoulda got the medal...he was outstanding. I also think it was funny that headland (conveniently) didnt play :)
I definately agree. The umps need to make sure the players are playing the game. I felt they failed to protect the eagles players yesterday.
AFL umps seem pretty limp wristed. Should be more like rugby umps.
Whilst I'm disappointed with the umps I'm also disappointed that more of the eagles didn't stick up for their players getting bashed. If someone had of put Josh down and sent the message that we'll give as good as we get it, he may have pulled his head in.
I spose I should be happy they concentrated on playing, even if they didn't play that well. :)
